At Fulford Harbour on the south side of the island I came across a group of Mute Swans feeding where a fresh water stream met the salt water of the harbour. The majority of them were youngsters -- some with a considerable amount of "dirty" feathers still -- but none the less, they made for a great sight, inspite of the poor lighting conditions and less than desireable weather.
