"Heading North" - Orcas from J Pod heading norht to the Fraser River for a salmon lunch.

Orcas, also know as Killer Whales, are an incredible site to see, especially in the wild! On a recent trip to Salt Spring Island, Canada, I had the opportunity to take a whale watching trip with Ian Gidney of Gulf Island Safari to see "J Pod" as they made their way to the feeding grounds off the Fraser River Delta area of British Columbia. What a show several young males put on for us! Constantly breaching as they made their way north. I think trying to attract that "special girl" also had something to do with it! Anyway, they ceratinly were having a whale of a time!!
